At Tektronic, we specialise in the diagnosis and repair of Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) systems across Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Porsche, and Jaguar models.

MHEV systems combine traditional engines with 12V or 48V electrical architectures, integrating components such as starter-generators, battery systems, power electronics, and advanced control modules. When faults occur, they often affect starting, charging, drivability, and overall vehicle performance.

Using dealer-level diagnostic equipment, we identify faults within battery systems, DC-DC converters, belt-driven starter generators, control units, and energy management systems. From non-start conditions and charging faults to system warnings and reduced performance, we deliver accurate, system-level diagnosis.

We focus on critical faults where vehicles are unreliable, operating in reduced power modes, or repeatedly misdiagnosed elsewhere. MHEV systems require a clear understanding of both electrical and mechanical integration, and incorrect diagnosis can lead to unnecessary part replacement.
